APPLICATION: The FP-ALC2 is the ideal choice in many applications where consistent stereo audio levels are needed from consumer sources with varying audio output levels. Power connections are made using either the full-size barrier block terminals or a dc power jack.
The FP-ALC2 is a two channel (stereo) module featuring phono jack INPUTS and OUTPUTS. A single user adjustment makes installation simple and efficient. The gain adjustment is set as high as possible with the loudest source without the INPUT OVERLOAD indicator flashing. No further adjustments are needed. Foreground as well as background sound systems fed from variable audio source levels, such as multiple CD changers or satellite receivers, benefit from consistent levels.
The automatic level control circuitry in the FP-ALC2 maintains a consistent –10 dBV output for input signal variations as great as 25 dB. Yet the operation of the module is nearly transparent to the listener for a wide variety of source material from rock to classical. The FP-ALC2’s low profile and compact size permit mounting in confined spaces and in various convenient locations.

APPLICATION: The FP-BUC2 is the ideal choice for connectorized conversion from balanced to unbalanced audio. This module features two identical active (transformerless) channels. Gold contact XLR jacks are utilized for the balanced input channels. Each output is unbalanced, connected through a gold-plated phono jack. A level trim potentiometer is provided for each channel.
The FP-BUC2 circuitry features low noise and distortion, excellent headroom and crosstalk performance and the superior audio clarity for which RDL products are known. The FP-BUC2’s low profile and compact size permit mounting in confined spaces and in various locations in equipment racks.

APPLICATION: The FP-MP1 is the ideal choice in most applications requiring a preamp. RDL’s exclusive low noise discrete circuitry produces studio quality low noise performance in an economical preamplifier. The XLR and plug-in terminal block connections make the FP-MP1 perfect for both rack mounted hardwired installations and remote use with standard audio cables. A front-panel switch permits the installer to direct phantom voltage to the input connectors. This 3-position switch provides 24V, 12V or PHANTOM OFF. Two switches select the input gain range thereby permitting the connection of standard or high output level microphones.

The FP-MX4 is a single-channel audio mixing module featuring four identical inputs. Each input accepts either a mic or line level source. The output section provides four mixing potentiometers corresponding to the four inputs. The output section provides both a balanced line (+4 dBu) and balanced microphone level (-45 dBu) output. Both outputs may be used at the same time. The four mixing potentiometers are intended to be set at installation or to be adjusted occasionally. Levels may be adjusted at the mixer using the RDL dual-LED VU meter which displays the mixer output level.

The FP-PA20A features a balanced line level input that may be connected unbalanced. A front panel gain control is designed to be adjusted either manually or with a trimming screwdriver. The gain range will accommodate standard unbalanced levels as well as professional balanced levels. Both a 70 V and 100 V amplified output are provided to drive corresponding speakers in a distributed sound system. Audio levels that could cause the amplified output to clip are compressed using two dynamic time constants designed to preserve aural transparency. Normal audio level signals remain unaffected by the compressor thereby preserving audio dynamics and preventing the compressor from increasing feedback potential when the amplifier is used for paging. The FP-PA20A produces average audio levels and audio clarity normally expected of amplifiers delivering much higher output power.

APPLICATION: The FP-SVDA4 is the ideal choice in many applications where component video signals need to be distributed. Video inputs and outputs are made on the top panel jacks. Power connections are made using either the full-size barrier block terminals or a dc power jack located in one end panel. A second dc power jack is provided on the other end panel for connecting additional FLAT-PAK modules. The FP-SVDA4 has a single mini-DIN-4 input jack for the component video signal. The input is 75 Ohms terminated. The gain for each component is user adjustable from the top panel. The gain potentiometers allow adjustment from unity to +6 dB. The gain potentiometers are normally set fully counter-clockwise for unity gain, producing correct amplitudes of each component at the output jacks. The gain potentiometers are provided for installations in which individual gain is needed and proper instrumentation is available to set these gain controls. Four source-terminated Y-C outputs are provided through the output jacks. Unused outputs need not be terminated.

APPLICATION: The FP-VDA4 is the ideal choice in many applications where video signals need to be distributed. Video input and output connections are made on the top panel BNC jacks. Power connections are made using either the full-size barrier block terminals or a dc power jack located in one end panel. A second dc power jack is provided on the other end panel for connecting additional FLAT-PAK modules. The FP-VDA4 has two jacks in the bridging input stage. One jack is for the input signal; the other is a loop-through output of the source signal. If 75 Ohms termination of the input signal is required, the terminator (provided) is plugged onto the Loop Out jack. Gain is user adjustable from the top panel. The gain potentiometer allows adjustment from unity to +6 dB. Four source-terminated outputs are provided through the BNC output jacks. Unused outputs need not be terminated.
