Thomas & Betts' Snap-N-Seal SNS1P6RM series of "gold finish," one-piece, RCA-type male connectors are designed to fit RG6 coaxial cables. The SNS1P6RM Series combines one-piece Snap-N-Seal compression connector technology with the RCA-type plug-and-jack interface used in home entertainment systems and digital set-tops. Using the connectors, an installer in the field can create custom-length cables for home entertainment systems, eliminating the need to carry various lengths of premade cables.
The connector features a color-coded, pre-positioned plastic sleeve inside the connector body designed to reduce assembly time, simplify operation and lower operating costs. The plastic compression sleeve is detachable, and can be manually separated from the connector body to facilitate difficult installations.
The connectors deliver typical return loss-performance of -30 dB, insertion loss of-0.27 dB, and RFI shielding performance of 100 dB (up to 20 MHz).
For maximum performance use an RG6/U with a solid copper center conductor.
